Pragmatic

It was over as quickly as it started. Enyo’s icy blue eyes darted to Flare as he crashed into the pronghorn, taking it down with brutal force. She watched the way his muscles rippled under his coat, each movement deliberate, and her lips curled into a subtle, approving smirk.

Without hesitation, she closed the distance, her teeth sinking into one of the pronghorn’s flailing legs to help pin it down. The creature was only so much bigger than them. With the heavy weight of Enyo pressed upon it, it wasn't going anywhere.

Her gaze flickered over Flare again, this time lingering just a heartbeat longer. Not bad, she thought, a quiet spark of satisfaction igniting in her chest as they worked in sync.
