Speech // thought
The girl gave her a name, Teegra. It was such a sweet name and Ignita could see how well it fit the little wolf.
She tilted her head to Basilisk as he mentioned her lovely golden coat, she was about to agree as if it was just idle chit-chat until he let the bomb drop between them.
The blood drained from Ignita's face as her paws suddenly went cold. She dropped her proffered paw like it was a dead weight and her golden eyes searched the little girl's stature looking for... anything... something! Her face went deadpan again as her golden eyes drank in the ginger and golden pelt of the other girl, much smaller than herself. She could barely breathe. This was a cruel joke, he couldn't do that to her! To either of them!
The silence stretched out as she swallowed, her eyes clung to Basilisk as she watched him leave the room to the storage. Her eyes landed back on the girl.
"He can't be serious..." She whispered, as if to herself, and as if to assure the girl before her who looked just as terrified. Her breath shuddered in her throat.
"What-" She started sharply as he returned, but she steadied her breath again and tried more softly,
"What could you possibly mean by that? Are you trying to scare her?" She asked him, clearly disbelieving he was serious, he had to have decided to make it all a joke!
