He'd done little but sleep in the time since Oath rescued him, however every time he woke, he didn't realize where he was. Time and time again, eyes would flutter open and search for Ultyr just to be reminded of it all only for his heart to sink. He didn't need anymore sleep certainly, having been around a week now doing only that, but the depression was forcing him. Curled up in the furthest corner of his temporary den, he was either sleeping through a nightmare or laying in a puddle of his own quiet tears.
He couldn't find the words to even thank his brother for saving him, nor could he even greet his family with anything more than a sad look in his eyes. Certainly they thought the thick scar across his throat prevented him from speaking, but in fact, it was the trauma. He was nothing but words when he and Ultyr had made their escape, but now with his God-Prince dead there were no words left. Besides, if he did try to speak, only sobs and tears would be heard.
However, despite being unable to speak while awake, the nightmares of being recaptured and ripped away from Ultyr bullied him endlessly. Even when he wasn't asleep, the visuals were so vivid that he couldn't escape them. His brain had even taken the chance to envision what it probably looked like when the God-King killed his son, and despite not seeing it for himself, that is what hurt the most. Even now as he laid curled up tight in his den, he shifted and stirred with an obvious discomfort, mumbling quietly in his sleep as he suffered. "Nnnoo, don't! Ultyr!"
