Everyday she was growing bigger, stronger and more wise. Her devotion to her brother Ky and Rin intensified each day. They had proven they could be trusted, to have her back when needed, to keep her secrets just as she would do for them. But there was still something missing, something that they could not fill or replace. She needed a father, her father, Isardis. She had seen him before but only spoke to him once and that was at the pack meeting. He was the leader, an Alpha, something she dreamed of being one day. He was a warrior, a protector, a thing she long to learn and follow his lead in. She wanted to contribute to the pack, and what better way than to protect it? She didn't care if anyone said she was still too young, she had the heart of a warrior. She wanted to prove her worth to Isardis, to the pack, to make her mother proud.

She might be a runt, smaller than her favorite brothers, but she couldn't let them protect her forever. Raising to her white paws the blue and russet pup padded silently out of the den. She knew where to go to call him. Surely if she was at the log and called for him, he would come right? A bubble of excitement and nervousness rolled in her stomach making her suddenly burst forwards into a run. For a moment she was thrilled to watch the powered top layer of snow fly away at her drumming paws. She yipped and pounced at the snow, sending up puffs of snow powder. But in no time she stood before the log. Bright firey amber eyes flashed with determination and she leaped forwards to climb her way up. This time as she stood up there, it didn't seem so high as the first time. Little chest heaved at her heavy breathing, not from exertion but nerves.

Head lifted back as she howled out to Isardis, the white angel of Glaciem. She was glade she had practiced her howling before, so it didn't sound half bad. Now all she had to do was wait. Rear plopped down on the log with tail curling around her. She sat up straight, ears forwards, head high, trying to look regal. She wanted Isardis to be proud with the way she carried herself. Good thing she was a perfectionist when it came to being clean!
