The sun had continued to rise and the sky remained red. He narrowed his firey eyes at the world around them, paying more attention to the surroundings than his slave. He wanted to keep others from stealing her away from him.
When he glanced down to check on her he looked back up before processing what she was doing. He snapped his attention back to her as he found her scrambling inside the frame. He snarled and reached to grab her back but she slipped into the space within the spire before he could reach her. She was out of his reach!
"What are you doing? Get out! Come back! How dare you!" He thrashed at the strange sides of the spire, desperate to grab at her scruff and pull her out.
He began digging at the spire's base next to her with powerful raking strokes. To no avail, it was too hard. He leaped to a softer area and dug down into the soil as fast he could, desperate to find his own way into the spire and pull her out.
