He dug into the dirt half a foot deep before he saw she had crawled herself out and stood expectantly.
He lunged at her with a snarl. His teeth were over her neck as he pinned her into the soft loamy soil. Nearly blind with a desperation that took his breath away he clasped her body with his claws and cinched his teeth under her chin. His breath shuddered and hammered against his own throat while he growled.
"Never-" He rumbled darkly, standing up and clasping her short little tail nubbin and hoisting her up into the air for her face to meet his. "Never go where I cannot reach you." He ordered, then dropped her roughly back to the ground.
"Now tell me what you can of this place." He barked, standing over her.
