Just because the sky was on fire didn't mean he stopped being hungry. Katsurō found it hard to ignore his grumbling stomach after a while, and although the eerie light above still didn't sit quite right with him, even the rest of Boreas seemed to be gently returning to this place now that the initial tremors had settled. Deer picked their way carefully between the spikes. He smelled larger migratory prey but didn't see them - the odious musk of bison. Rabbits and mice skittered between the scrubby grasses. If the animals had returned, he would hunt. The wolves that had ventured here had overturned quite a bit of earth around the bases of the spires, which inspired a bit of an idea in him. If he could dig a large enough pit, it would be simple to drive some prey into it and end a hunt swiftly with a large pay off. Kat got down to work at the loose earth near the base of one of the spires. It began to crumble easily beneath his large paws and he lost himself in his work. Crafted a trap 1/3 |
