The earthshaking was disconcerting, to say the least. The sky, stained red like blood above them, was unsettling and ominous. Now fissures in the land just north of his home had him frowning.
Eltrys was not liking this one bit. He had a pack to lead, and protect that was far too close to this event than he was comfortable with. Haydee was doing much better of late and he called her to join him down on the shimmering shore.
His paws sank into the sand as he rounded the corner from Lazuli Falls and walked toward the ocean's edge. The water crashed against the shoreline like usual. The phospherant magic hidden in the daylight. He was drawn inward, where he had spied a fissure developing from his perch over the falls. The sand felt crumby and softer than he thought it ought to be. It should be gaining more firmness as they drew inland, not softness...
