bast, his hawk companion, flew to his shoulder while he silently prowled the sweetgrass basin for fresh prey to hunt. his companion gestured twice with a wing, signaling another's presence not too far ahead. a lone wolf with their bird.. so close to insomnia? his eyes narrowed before he set off with a quickened pace- causing his own bird to be thrown back into the air as it fluttered away.
his gallop was brisk, mind entertaining the thought that this could be a new addition to the pack. or even a hunting partner, not that he needed one. but really, he wanted to know who it was; after all, his tight circle had limitations. unrelated women were a game to be played on.. and he wondered what had been on the menu this time around. his focus shifted from prey, to prey. forgiving the mule deers this time around while he took the path of better intrigue.
in the night, he trotted until her scent became stronger. to which he then ceased into slower creep from behind the lush thickets. hot as it was, Érebos knew the best time to be active these days were nearest midnight. he had his Albi.. but did she? on a dimpled part of the terrain just after the hills, Érebos came to silent halt. his tall looming outline hard to make-out in the dark, with only the piercing glow of his brown and blue orbs showing forth as they drank her visuals in. a pale fae with obsidian markings as he saw her from behind, the moon casting a soft light on them adding to his advantage. she reminded him of the dunamis back at home, but he knew that wasn't possible. "Need any assistance?" he offered, his low voice a powerful rumble that usurped the previous stillness of the night.
his tail was idle at his thick ankles, his nose flaring as he took in more of her jasmine perfume. hmm.. curiosity gleamed in his eyes, but otherwise his face was stoic & neutral. as if he could be anything she liked just this once.
