As much as her jackal's ambush might have put her at an advantage, it seemed like this man had his own companions looking out for him as well. A trilling chirp from up above them seems to catch his attention and before she could land her attack the rainbow-marked man spun around to face her, rolling out of the way of her attacks. She would have taken advantage and tried to rush forward to pin him while he was rolling out of the way if it wasn't for a antlered rabbit that sprung up out of no where and forced her to skid to a stop to keep from rushing into the points of its antlers. If she hadn't been so taken aback by the oddly antlered rabbit she probably would have tried to just jump over it since she was significantly bigger than a rabbit, but it had the element of surprise so she stopped with a confused blink.

He man's growl pulls her gaze back to him as he rushes in to continue their fight, pulling a grin from her as he lunges for her neck. She dips to the side and throws her shoulder forward instead, putting her armor-covered shoulder in the line of fire of his open jaws. Meanwhile, she turned her head and reached forward and around his neck toward his scruff again now that he was well within reach of him and he was less likely to be able to get away this time. Somewhere behind her she heard a loud hooting sound as her owl swooped down toward the man's rabbit to chase it off and make sure that it couldn't interfere again.
