New Thangs

He let out a relaxed sigh and her ears perked. That was pretty close to praise in her world and she narrowed her eyes in focus as she tried to keep doing what had made him sigh. Only for him to guide her with words in the next moment. "A little harder there." She pressed a little harder into that muscle as he directed, but she was still afraid of hurting him. One wrong move and she could hurt him unintentionally. "Follow that hardness up to the root and hold it to the count of ten." She pressed her way up the muscle doing exactly as he said. Her tongue was out in concentration, pressed between her lips and off to the side as she counted.

At a ten count she released the muscle and made to do the same to the other side. She wasn't confident she was doing this right but hopefully he was happy with it. She really wanted to see him relax a little. Not everything in life had to be so serious. If he had been her brother she might of grabbed mud and plopped it right on his nose or started a splash fight. But as he had clearly made his dislike of games known she wasn't about to try. She wasn't in the mood to start a new fight or make him angry at her again.

She started trying to work out the knots in his lower back next, aware that muscles near the hips might hurt more than his shoulders. Those were the muscles one tensed more before sprinting and hunting. He'd been doing a lot of that lately too. He was working to feed both himself and her, and he had been so adamant about her putting on weight that she was certain he was hunting extra just for her. She would of told him to slow down if she could of. Not that he would of listened. After all he was a "god". She still had doubts about gods though, seeing as none answered prayers or listened when you needed them.
