But these children were a long way from the Hallows, far away from the place they called home. And the girl… Elowen cast another look at her. Her body appeared to be part plant, and El couldn’t figure out if she was alright or not. With a small sigh, she gave a nod. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. These lands are pretty weird.” The Carpathian woman straightened a little and offered a smile at the kids.

“I know you two don’t know me, but I’d be honored if we could explore together.” An excuse to watch over them, at least partly. “And if I might ask, what are your names?” She’d let them lead the way, but she’d be on the lookout for danger. As the stillness in the area suddenly brought wind, Elowen’s fur bristled. Maybe she was just being anxious, but something told her to not let her guard down here.
