Artorias can just about see the relief come over Erik—and Ember to some degree too—when he grants the young brute permission to stay with them and asylum for Víðarr. It brings another paternal smile to the older dire brute's lips to see his daughter so happy and to offer aid to their friends. Erik thanks him, then confirms his suspicions that Víðarr was somewhere else. The Fjord up north, just across the channel between the continents. The reports Erik delivers about his father's conditions are... well, they're worrying to say the least. Sleeplessness was usually a symptom of a greater psychological issue. He wanted to get V seen by their doctors as swiftly as possible. Artorias can see the struggle in Erik's eyes, in the tenseness of his body and his expression. Admitting something was wrong with his father was difficult for the young wolf. Art understood, and he would not belittle the effort it took to ask for this help.
With a nod of his head, Artorias spoke, "Well then, we'd better go get him." Turning to Ember, Artorias was about to ask his daughter to go get the infirmary prepared for their return, but he was quite pleased to see she was already taking that initiative and showing that forethought as she voiced his thoughts before he had a chance to. Another proud smile; his daughter had truly grown into herself as of late. "We won't be long. Just a quick jog across the Bifröst and back. Tell Gwyn to get a bed warmed."
After Ember had departed back towards the castle, Artorias' attention settled entirely on Erik then, motioning with a tip of his snout for the lad to take the lead. Art knew he didn't have to go, but he wanted to. Víðarr was a friend, and he was showing his support to both V and Erik with his assistance. Besides, Víðarr could be quite a lot of wolf to shepherd around, and Erik had done so much of that already. He could help out and give the lad a break. "By your lead, Erik. Let's go get your father."
