The bear struck the woman and Quill's vision ran red. He lost himself in his rage. Releasing his hold, Quill bit into the side of the bears face. Curved canines punctured one eyeball and a mixture of juice and blood flooded the brutes mouth. The ursine squealed and tried to pull away but it wasn't happening. Quill planted his paws and jerked backwards, ripping the bears face away like a mask.
The grizzly staggered and fell, the blood loss and shock of its injuries quickly leading it down the path to death. Quill couldn't stop himself though. He continued to shred the bear, pulling away mouthfuls of fur and flesh until the ground around him ran red with blood. His pale coat was almost black with viscous fluids and chunks of flesh.
Quill breathed heavily, his rib cage expanding and contracting as he regained his senses. Pink and blue eyes fell upon the injured form of the dream woman and he growled again before heading to her and hefting her onto his back. Quill wasn't a healer. He had to get her back to The Hallows.
