Davey was, perhaps, taking this less seriously than the rest. Ripping and tearing at first a flipper, and then the creature's slick back fin. Snarling and snapping, but all of it still felt like a game. Sure, a fight is a fight, is a fight. The actual gravity of the stunt he'd pulled on Tide? Never coming close to hitting him. Missed, like missing the broad side of a bus.
But still, taking the shark was fun. It became heavier as they moved out onto the rocky shore, dragging the beast with all their might. At least Davey thought he was helping. You know, not like a full blown lion is applying more pressure than a pup.
