Gotta Go Fast

Dainty little paws picked their way easily between the pits but Star's gaze was already on the next leg of the race. A smaller pit lay before her. She could jump it or she could run around it and potentially lose a bit of distance between herself and Jynn. With the pit growing ever closer, Star had to decide. At the last moment, she took a deep breath, exhaled and launched herself over the puddle of dark tar. Time seemed to still a bit as she soared, and then she landed safely on the opposite side, regaining her footing quickly and building speed once more. She couldn't spare a glance for Jynn. Her attention was locked onto the terrain and nothing else.
