Gotta Go Fast

Jynn barreled swiftly forward and almost didn't notice the tar pit ahead of her. There wasn't even time to swear as she planted her front legs, skidding just enough as she threw her hind legs to the side and kicked off hard again, pushing herself around the pit. It cost her a bit of time but she swiftly got herself righted. She felt a bit of a dull ache in her left hind ankle that she had previously sprained but all said it seemed to hold up under her well enough. She could see Starchild pulling ahead of her and she quickly lowered her long neck to align it with her spine, her tail moving in the same way as she tried to bolt forward. Her nostrils flared taking in more air and also tracking the scent of the tar pits, trying to note when the smell got more intense so she could be prepared to zig and zag as needed.
