Gotta Go Fast

Jynn took big gulps of air, seeking oxygen to power her limbs but t was proving a double-edged sword for the stench and smoldering of the pits also made her feel like she needed to cough. Risking a bit of speed she spat out a vicious cough, then pushed herself forward. She could feel a stabbing pain in her side from the exertion but she wasn't going to tap out. It was a tight race, neck and neck, and as Jynn raced past the large tar pit that marked the finish line she scrambled to slow down, skidding so hard she tipped over onto her side. Jynn laid there for a few second before her upper half popped back up. "Ummmm…" was all she could say in reply to Star's question while she flipped back through her memory.
