A Little Dry, Don't You Think?

The turn of the season meant one thing in particular for Crux. Time to go looking for herbs to help bolster stores empties by winter and a whole birth. Crux hadn't had much chance to explore the lands of Auster since he'd arrived, with the cool season having set in shortly after, which had certainly not encouraged him to go too far.

Now with Riya by his side he skirted the neighbouring pack, moving quickly past the boneyard, he had no desire to tempt anyone into fighting him, before he finally got somewhere new. Though he wasn't sure how useful for his purposes this place would be. Crux scuffed a paw along the dusty ground. Maybe those strange looking trees might provide something? But at least here all he could see was dead or dying. He doubted it was from the recent winter. Riya brushing against him alerted Crux of the other wolf and he glanced at her, deciding if he was feeling social right now or not. But he couldn't deny that if she knew anything about this place that'd undoubtedly be helpful for him. "Ever been somewhere like this before?" He spoke as he trotted towards her, his posture easy, confident but not aggressive. He also adjusted his movements as much as possible to hide his leg as best he could.
