Breathe Sweet Child

Malia was licking her lips, about to bite into one of the rabbits when another scent caught her nose. The mixed colored girl gazed at the blind pup who was lumbering around the area outside the den. Malia grazed as she walked over to her with a small smile etched onto her face. The rabbits were in her mouth to keep other animals from trying to take her prey. The prey was a difficult catch for her, honestly it was. She stooped down to the girl's level, a few wolf lengths away and she spoke. "Little one, does your mother know your out here?" She asked in a rather playful manner. Malia wasn't sure who's pup it was, but she assumed it was Loccian or another female's in the pack, since any other pup wouldn't be on pack territory close to the pack den.


She was calm and although her voice was playful, it was also very soft. It had not been long since she had joined, but she did know that this pup was young and probably didn't have the best vision. Most pups did not have any eyesight until two or three weeks old. So this pup, looking as young as she did, probably shouldn't be out of the den or wandering without an adult with her. Malia was just a clergy and had not proven herself to be responsible yet. This could be an opportunity, but she wasn't going to do it just because she would grow in rank, she would do it because it was obviously the right thing. A small smile still held on Malia's face as she awaited the pup to answer, or attempt to.
