Dexterous hand paws padded across the land bridge on his way back to Auster. He'd been out overnight but with his companions and his first birthday closing in he figured it would be no big deal. Especially when he gave his reason for why. Andrei gave a barking caw overhead as his fiery gaze was set south. His head turned up to the coward bird and he huffed. The damn thing probably saw his shadow again.

Then Nikolai was hissing and barking and that's when he turned his head to look where his wolverine was looking. A shadow in the water. A shark? no it was too close to the shore. He narrowed his eyes and his hackles rose. What the fuck? Then suddenly the form was coming straight at him and launching from the water. A large blubbery.... Seal? It was spotted and had fangs coming right for him. A push of his back legs and he was dodging to the right. His wolverine dodging to the left. Its growl was loud as it tried to get a hold on him but from his dodge he was launching right back at it, his claws unsheathing and fangs bared. Most would tell him to run but that just wasn't his style. He was the beat your head against the brick wall until it broke type. A snarl ripped from him as he landed with claws sinking into the seal's side and his teeth on it's neck. All he needed to do was drive it back into the water.
