It was a true battle now, and the knight of the Hallows realised he had let his shock (and yes, though he loathed to admit it, his fear) hold him still. Now wasn’t the time to let the past take him, he needed to strike. He pulled free his steel sword, holding it in his mouth as he attempted a jumping strike.

Trying to strike at its underflesh beneath its blossoming face as he tried to launch himself up high enough to reach it. It was his intention to strike the blade across the flesh in a slash, weary of getting his blade hooked it he drove it in too directly.
