Amber fur stood on end as the strange she-wolf approached. His golden eyes snapped open as he stood quickly to his paws, facing the woman with a growl rumbling deep in his throat and a look of complete annoyance printed across his features. Suddenly, he froze and his mind became a whirlwind.
Well, she's a pretty one, isn't she?
She looks like a damn thorn that's about to bury itself into your paw.
She certainly isn't a dainty little flower for you to trample on.
No, more like a weed..
His eyes focused slowly, taking in the alabaster queen who stood before him. The growl remained rumbling low in his throat, and he opened his mouth slightly to let it escape as he spoke.
"Who the hell are you to know, princess?"
His features pulled themselves into a snarl, his head tucked low against his chest, feet spread apart and tail pointing straight behind him. He would not allow his conflicting thoughts to get him into another defenseless situation. Even if it was with a fine looking ivory dame from up north.
