Her cascade of perfect giggles warms his core more than the fire next to him. Her offer to get a group together to gather ingredients has him beaming. "Excellent! I'd love to see who would enjoy this kind of craft with me. Perhaps there could be several leather crafters among us." He mused as he took the project back and continued his work.
She brings up an interesting question, one he would love to find a solid answer to. For her perhaps he could go a bit deeper than what he had given the others. A portion of his story he had shared with no other.
He closes his eyes as he calls forth the memory, leaning his head gently over hers.
"The druids were a high class of priests from my mother's homeland. She taught me some of their lore and some of their ways as much as she could since there were not any written accounts to study. They refused such things. She was able to bring in a tutor under the guise of a minstrel for me to learn more from." He took her soft dainty dark paw after he set aside his project to focus more on the story. He ran a thumb over the top of her fur while his striking blue eyes watched the light of the fire dance over her fur.
"A druid is a spiritual leader that is highly respected due to their extensive studies and deep knowledge of how an individual may interact with the natural world. Some are healers, politicians, lore keepers, advisors, and teachers. I aim to make a Vedian Druid as unique as the individual who bears the title. For example, if Lia aims to be a druid but dislikes much of the spiritual practices she only needs to focus on how the aspects of the spiritualism can affect individuals and our relationships with our environment. A druid could be a diviner, tiptoeing the line between the spiritual world and this one, reading and attempting to interpret the signs of the earth and what the spirits may tell us." His gaze meandered gently over her fur, traveling up her wrist and up to her shoulder, to softly land in her gilded green pools.
He smiled, "I don't know if that answered your question or just made it all the more vague." He chuckled.
"Our character is often revealed at our highs and lows... Be humble at the mountaintops, be steadfast in the valleys. Be faithful in between." - marcandangel.
