As Basilisk made that initial charge from 10 feet, his reindeer moved out from behind him and charged in at a slower ark around Erebos to his rear. Erebos dodged both the reindeer attack and Basilisks shoulder slam to his cheek. Instead, his heavy weight opponent turned the force of Basilisk’ charge into Erebos left trapezius. Leaving the start of a moderate bruise on Basilisk’s rolled shoulder with the impact. His teeth were aimed for Erebos’ left ear but instead grazed with just the left upper tip against Erebos’ rear end on his left gluteus medius muscle. The shift in direction happened before the balanced-build wolf could account for it.

As the two wolves remained together, Erebos’ then used that same left shoulder to pull down Basilisk's body and shove it against the Warlord's lower left rib cage, leaving a mild bruise. The momentum of Erebos’s attack was already lost.

Basilisk ensured his eyes were still narrowed, and he dug his claws into the earth beneath him. His tail was flared behind him, his hackles were still raised. His ears, which were still flattened against his skull, felt the bite of the raven's talons in the left upper tip. As he felt that contact he dropped his head down sharply, before raising it again in an attempt to slam the bird's body against Erebos’ left abdomen, just lateral to the umbilical region. If he was lucky, the force of his blow might both damage the bird unless it chose to abandon its attack, and drive the wind out of his opponent. Aware as he did so that the move might risk extra damage then just the small laceration to his ear. The attempted head bash left his head raised once more and his teeth reached out as he sought above the stifle of Erebos’s left back leg. Aiming for the fleshy part of his upper thigh, with the intention of enclosing his lower jaw around the medial surface, and the upper jaws upon the lateral surface. If his teeth landed, the firmness of the grip would threaten not just the critical structures that lay beneath, but would also make it more difficult for his opponent to flinch backwards from the point of his patella spurs.

Basilisk shifted his weight off his left back leg onto his right hind leg and raised his left hip, forcing Erebos to land his attack on Bas’s left upper gluteus medius instead of his intended target. Erebos’ attempt brought his opponent into a position that the Warlord attempted to benefit from. Basilisk kicked forward and up with the knee of his left hind leg. The sharp tip of his left back spur was aimed towards the right side of Erebos’s throat. On the jugular furrow, right beneath the mandible. Taking the hit of Erebos’s jaws in consequence of attempting the manoeuvre, and letting his opponent dig a severe laceration into his back in the hopes that the position of his spur would force the other wolf to release his jaws before Erebos’ could drag them down.

The Wyrm which until now had been still in her position behind Bas’ skull attempted to strike. Much like a snake, coiled and then in sudden motion, as she moved down Basilisk’s back and towards Erebos’s face. Attempting to sink her fangs into Erebos’s left eye. Her upper fangs aimed for the wolf's upper eyelids, while her bottom attempted to sink into the eye itself. Aiming to blind her opponent in his left eye if she was able.

Meanwhile, joining her master and the Wyrm in their simultaneous attacks, Basilisk’s Falcon swooped down low. Letting out a battle cry as she dived, attempting to graze across Erebos’s lower lumbar spine with both her talons. Attempting to cut flesh and move on instead of sinking in and grabbing hold.
