The Unraveling - It Creeps

Kaizen hissed in pain as he felt something sharp slash across the back of his neck. Thankfully, it was the loose scruff of skin, or else it would have been much, much worse. But it was quickly becoming apparent that this situation was far more dire than anything the yearling could have anticipated- that they really ought to leave, because the risk- his gaze snapped to Hanaryō and his eyes widened in alarm. Not his sister.

What would Hattori do in this situation? Kaizen's mind felt...foggy almost, overwhelmed by all that was going on, how terrible things were no doubt about to get. Barrelling forward, Kaizen moved to grapple one of the tangling vines, he wasn't sure if he even was strong enough to fight and win, but he had to try. What choice did he have?
