The Unraveling - It Rises

There had been talk of worms appearing, killing others even. Genesis didn't believe it at first, but after seeing others with wounds and covered in a strange ooze, he decided that he had to see it for himself. Traveling further east than he expected, the sounds of the battle were clear. Unfamiliar with the land he was in, he charged forward with urgency and stopped in his tracks as soon as he caught site of the alien-like work sprouting from the water and towering as tall as the cliff itself. Others battled from above, and he could see what appeared to be carcasses of others on the shore. Well, the shore didn't seem very safe.

Approaching from the south, he rushed up the cliff and joined in the fray from the top of the cliff. He saw another throw a large stick toward the creature like a spear and decided to do the same as he found a pointy one on the way over. Using speed to his advantage, he ran until skidded to a stop at the edge of the cliff, craning his neck as far has he could to the side before whipping around and chucking the large spear-like stick at the worm.
