The crushing weight, the overwhelming force, it's enough to fling the small yearling to the ground. A wound, and an even deeper pain blooming beneath it. Breath knocked clear from her lungs, Hanaryō gasps. Trying to get her breath back, as she staggers to her feet. Scrambling, gaze swimming as she refocuses on Kaizen.

Adults bellowing, yelling, trying to give them some kind of direction. It only fuels Ryo in the opposite direction, rallying against whatever they were trying to tell her. She pushes the notion down, bats it away without a second thought. Defiance surging in the girl, as she doubles down. The beast had swatted her away once, but she wasn't done. Hot on her brother's heels, she attaches to the same vine Kaizen has. Lower to the ground, snarling as she digs her teeth into it. Fleshy. Gross.
