The Unraveling - It Rises

In its fury, the massive worm crashes against the cliffside, scrambling to lash out at whoever is closest. Its movements send rocks and debris flying, spindly legs clawing at the soil and sending up plumes of dirt and blood in each direction.

Hala sends a sharp stick flying toward the worm, and it pierces its hide, releasing a pained roar. It only intensified as Maki and Alexandrite and Empousa all landed more attacks, tearing as its now-vulnerable hide.

The stick that Genesis sends flying at the worm is hurled back at him. Genesis scrambles to the side to avoid being speared by it, twisting his front left paw in the process. The pain is sharp, but not debilitating, clearly sprained when he tries to walk on it.

Draven, continuing to attack the worm alongside so many others, is abruptly flung backwards by the worm's erratic movements. Draven feels a sharp sting as a foreleg grazes the right side of his cheek, blood beginning to trickle down his face from the new wound.

Nelu aims to slash at the worm's underbelly with a sharp piece of stone. The attack lands as the worm begins to grow more sluggish, its massive body unable to dodge the attacks from the much smaller wolves below.

Fluid, sticky and thick, begins to pour out of its wounds, more steadily where its hardened shell has begun to be torn away.
