The thickly coated pup chuckled softly, a shy smile tugging at his lips as he looked up to his mother. "I'll try not to make you worry so much, Mother," he said, brushing against her side as he stepped closer. He turned his gaze back to the pools, the shimmering stream catching his attention again as she spoke of it. "You saw it in winter? A big shoot of water?" His obsidian gaze drew wider as his voice brimmed with childlike wonder, his mind conjuring images of the towering geysers cutting through the sky.
"Do you think it could happen again?" he asked, tilting his head to meet her gaze and seek her reassurance. "Maybe.. it only shows itself when it feels like it - like how bears hibernate in the winter. It could be sleeping." He leaned slightly into his mother's warmth, his voice softening. "Thank you for bringing me here, Mother.. it feels.. important."
