He was gone, her brother had been eaten...It had taken this long to fully sink in; what she had witnessed. One would think she would be used to loss and shock by now, but no. Vayne's death hit hard, she had lost her brother to a giant worm-like creature. There was an anger that stirred in her heart, how could she prevent another loss? What if there were more like the plant-creature that had devoured Vayne? Atreyu vowed in her soul that no one else would ever fall to another monster, be it worm or wolf.
There was no body to bury, perhaps that was what hit the hardest, what made her the most angry. The worm had taken Vayne and left nothing behind, now they could not give him a proper burial. Anger seethed in her heart once again, her anger made physical in the rumbling growl she issued. Bigs trotted along faithfully beside her, looking up at her every so often to better gauge her shifting moods. Grief for Atreyu looked more like rage, though tears streamed down her cheeks from sad holographic eyes. Could the family still do Vayne's funeral rites without his body present? She was sure they could, his soul still lingered - or at least she thought it did. Believing she was alone, Atreyu roars out her grief into the leaves of the cathedral, swiping her claws at the vines and cutting some of them down with her knife.
"Talk." || Think || 'Hear.'
