its just a lil dusty
quill
In fact, Quill's honest answer was exactly what she wanted. To hear, out loud, that he did want to share her bed. The words sent a chill down her spine, enjoying the sizzling tension that began to build between them. Her gaze warmed with her cheeks, watching him eat the strawberry in return. That teasing smile on her lips did turn into a smaller, slightly more shy one, but she continued to push her confidence forward. They were very much alone now and she felt comfortable enough allowing herself to be a bit more forward with him.
"Depends I suppose on what you define as lovely," Bramble lets out a chuckle, teasing him that maybe his previous choices hadn't been as good. Not that Bramble was full of herself because she too could always be better than she was yesterday, but pretending to be glorious was fun in a way.
Watching him sample the mead, she didn't hesitate to take the bottle from him when offered. Taking a swig of her own, Bramble lets out her own pleased hum as the honeyed liquid slides down and warms her stomach. Everything inch of her was warm now and getting warmer by the moment.
"They say the Hallows produces the best wine," she comments, eyes flicking over to watch as he feigned pain, settling onto a hip that brought him closer to her. With one brow raised in question, Bramble doesn't comment as he suggestively wraps his tail around her hips and tail. When he doesn't acknowledge the movement, Bramble gives him a smile and a small roll of her eyes. Reaching for a piece of meat, she chews it slowly, savoring the flavor and the way his lush fur warms her further. After a few minutes of companionable silence, tasting the lunch before them, she lets her gaze flick to him, a mischievous glint to her eyes.
"If you wanted me closer, all you needed to do was ask," Bramble murmurs. Without a second thought, she somewhat awkwardly, but still also somewhat gracefully manages to slide herself closer to Quill, nudging his hip and side outward so that she could fit neatly beside him. Leaning into his bulk, her eyes flutter close and her head droops slightly. The warmth and feel of his body enveloping her own was pleasant against the cool draft that wafted in from the open doors. Leaning her cheek against his neck for a moment, she enjoys the feel of his silky soft fur for another second before turning back to the food.
Taking another swig of the mead, she offers it to Quill before taking a piece of cheese and meat to sandwich it together. "So now that you have a home, what's the next step? Climb the ranks and become Commander? Find a wife, settle down, have some pups? What's your dream life?" Maybe she'd blame the questioning on the mead that swirled in her belly. Or the daydreams that plagued her mind. Ideas of falling in love and being swept off her paws. She couldn't take them back now so she decided to busy herself with eating another piece of fruit.
