Lately he felt like like nothing he did was right. Katsu had made it back to Tojo in time for the raid after dragging himself back home from the distant north. Miraculously he'd come out unscathed from his encounter with the worm beneath the ice , but it didn't feel like he'd won anything at all. He'd ended the fight side by side with a child, attacking from the rear like a coward. He approached this raid stoically, with a blank face and mind. He'd tried to meditate beforehand but it hadn't seemed to do much good at all. All around him his siblings and his father confidently charged into the fray, but he hung back and tried to locate a suitable opponent that wasn't already occupied.
