The Hallowed wolves didn’t make it far into Tojo-Kai territory before the pack’s defenders began to appear and were quick to close the distance on them. Artorias had expected a swift showing of force from their "hosts" and Hattori and his clan did not disappoint. He was quick to spot Hattori at the front of the group, the dark-coated koi wolf charging right for him. Artorias grinned and picked up his pace, moving to meet he Kaicho head on and kick off the fights. The two massive men collided into one another, Hattori taking the brunt of the force to his shoulder while Artorias maneuvered his paws to brace against the ground. seeking to shove into his opponent's chest with all his might and try to put him off balance.

Hattori offered a simple greeting, calling on Artorias to fight well. The Lord of Cinder's eyes flashed with the challenge, responding with a cheeky grin to the older alpha. "Don't hold back." Neither combatant needed to mince words. This was a time for action, not chatter. In their close proximity, Artorias lunged for Hattori, seeking to grasp the other wolf where his neck and shoulders met in his powerful jaws. With the pair pushing into each other like sumos, he needed to do something to gain the upper hand and put Hattori within his control. He knew Hattori was a renowned warrior, and he would need to put the other fighter down fast to gain the tactical upper hand in this raid.
