It would have been hard to miss the charging form. A child really, younger than Majima though not by a lot it still frustrated the yearling to see such confidence in the pup's eyes as he charged towards someone who by rights ought to be out of the kid's league. It also frankly didn't help that even from a distance Majima could see the boy was taller than he was already. Whatever confidence his opponent showed he could feel lacking in himself and that only frustrated him further. Though a tightening of his jaw was the only indication that passed across his face at all. Instead he huffed and started a much less rushed path towards the boy. Tora gave a mrrrp and darted away, swinging wide to try and avoid being tracked too closely. Unlike Titus Majima was not surprised to see a boy who by apperance at least could have been a relative, he'd met Bancha and that had taught him well enough that there were others here with ties to his father's homeland. Though it had never really crossed his mind about the little koi dog Majima also knew in a sort of learned way that not all who shared his heritage were equal, not all were as noble. It wasn't hard to get that impression from his father at least. Those thoughts pushed from his mind however as he stopped his approach, bracing for the oncoming impact, legs spreading, knees bending and toes flexing so that as the boy slammed into him Majima didn't so much as wobble, a low breathy grunt the only indication of the pain that rattled through him. Majima was glad he'd decided to brace instead of dodge though as it gave him time to see the paw come towards him and react. If the boy was going to put a leg that close to his face, might as well try and take advantage. Majima side stepped slightly, taking his shoulder out of range but twisting his head as he moved to try and grab hold of the boy's wrist, hoping to grab on and jerk her head behind himself. try and tip the larger wolf off balance himself. As he did so Majima also stepped in slightly hoping to get closer so that it made reaching him more awkward for the taller wolf, he also knew what the range on his horns was and he was just out of reach currently. Majima was unaware of the approaching wolverine but luckily Tora wasn't. With a yowl the little tabby had thrown himself at the much bigger animal, spitting as he tried to latch onto the Wolverine's face, effectively cutting him off before he could get under Majima. Who for his part dared not look to see what was happening with the screeching cat, eyes locked onto his opponent.
