ghosts and wisteria

With her head resting on her paws while she laid off to the side in their family den, she watched as Angel crept outside while everyone else was seemingly distracted. They weren’t supposed to leave home and especially not on their own so she was immediately curious about where he was off to. She glanced back at their siblings and parents for a moment to make sure she could also slip out unnoticed, creeping quietly toward the exit while keeping an eye on the rest of their family. She certainly didn’t want to get in trouble, but she didn’t want to cause a commotion and ruin her chance to spy on her brother.
Peeking outside though the moon lit wisteria, Octavia’s silver gaze looked though the shadows to watch as Angel went out into the moonlight. She didn’t know if all the stuff they had been told about ghosts in the forest was really real or not, but she hasn’t really felt inclined to test that theory until now. Angel seemed pretty sure of himself from here and it made Via wonder if he knew something that she didn’t. Were the woods totally safe and she just didn’t know it yet? Or maybe he had seen one of the ghosts before and knew they were nothing to be afraid of? Curious, Octavia very quietly crept up behind her brother till she was close enough to to whisper, “Whatcha doin?”
