[Exploring- Fossil Ridge]

After having mapped the garden as thoroughly as she felt she could given the thoughts swirling in the back of her mind, which were definitely not distracting her a single bit, Imogen turned her attention to the lands just adjacent of her new home. Someday they'd probably be looking to expand and it's be prudent to know what was around them even if they never moved in those directions. But the dam had felt too daunting... She hadn't been back since the first time Norad had fallen and now no longer a pup she understood better what had happened then and the weight of the memories of so much of her scattered family... Her missing parents and siblings... It was a little too much right now. Imogen knew she'd have to face it eventually but some part of her wanted to put it off until she had her best friend back at her side to do so.

So the ridge it was! And frankly that was fine by her, it was a new experience after all! Trying to buoy her emotions by letting herself see this as a new adventure the girl set off at a trot. Coming to rest at one of the highest parts of the slope she gaped openly at the expanse that opened below her, divots in the ground seemingly scooped out by something bigger than she could even imagine dotted the landscape, and here and there she could see strange dirt covered shapes poking above the exposed soil. It briefly reminded her of the spires she'd visited with Jiro.

But before she had to cut her own thoughts off the clattering of a stone did it for her. Seafoam gaze turning towards it she spotted another wolf, a small shape flying away from their paws and bouncing down the slope. Imogen had always been bad at controlling her impulses and she found herself racing down the incline, a yip of pleasure pulling from her lips as she did so. When was the last time she'd really run? The plan had been to come to rest where the rock the stranger had kicked had but joy and sheer gravity saw Imogen over shooting her goal by quite a bit and she had to put on the brakes, skid to a halt and trot her way back up.

"Woah!" She breathed aloud as she neared the spot it seemed the stranger was also approaching. "Did you do that?" She could see now the rock had split in two, it was only one of the coolest things she ever seen, that day. There was no formal greeting, little regard for the fact she'd come running down the incline from behind the stranger with no warning only to shoot past them. Imogen didn't really take the time to think about those things often, she worked more on instinct and vibes than any sort of expected decorum.
