As soon as she released him, he stood, quick and fluid ignoring the sharp stabbing pain that shot down his leg and up his shoulder. He could feel the sickeningly hot flow of blood streaming down his leg. But his eyes did not turn to see the mess of flesh he knew was there. For a moment he met her stare, and listened to her words. Before his ears caught the sound of movement not far from them, Hades's gaze moved to find the source. Mismatched eyes landed on the towering figure of a beast all too familiar to him, that mirrored him, "Father." was the soft murmur that slipped past his teeth, for a brief moment he found himself worried. Wondering if his own father would want to place a matching mark upon him.
