Her belief in her own strength and abilities was at the core of her attacks. Astaroth didn't tend toward being a tricky fighter; she wasn't the most agile of wolves and she much preferred a straightforward fight, without fluff. Maybe because she was still such a novice, but it helped to focus on the basic attacks and trying to master them.

Her opponent seemed as eager to fight as she, and his enthusiasm pleased her. At least he'd be an good challenge! She landed her first attack, at least briefly, but without much warning he was rising up on his hind legs. He was bigger than her, and his strength was impressive even with his age; she tried to push hard into the attack, not wanting to lose her balance. His paws were powerful though and sent her stumbling.

Aiming to recover, a playful growl left her throat as she lunged back at him. Trying to use her slightly smaller size to her advantage, she'd aim parted jaws at the scruff of his neck, hoping to grab hold of the skin there and give it a good shake.
