Alaric watched as a broad smile painted Atreyu's features. He felt his own lips tug into a small smile as the woman looked down at the pup. The pup immediately took to Atreyu, running over to play between her legs. Alaric let out a chuckle, a rarity from his lips. When Atreyu asked of the parents, Alaric rolled his shoulders in a shrug. "I didn't see or smell them around." He replied honestly, his gaze searching the wooded area before the beach. He found nothing. "They must be long gone." He explained, thinking for a moment. "We'll find her something to eat." Alaric promised, turning his attention to Maul and Cinder. "Give me a moment." He excused him with the two large dogs, padding away from the beach and back into the wooded area that connected to the beach. It took around thirty minutes, but when he arrived back into sight and on the beach, he dangled a still warm hare in his maws. He trotted over and sat the deceased prey animal down before the pup. "This should hold her over." He said.
