Triss closed her eyes and let Crux’s words flow over her. They may have lost something, their world had been shaken. But they hadn’t lost everything. Her mother, whom she loved very much, was still alive. She still had Crux, who hadn’t given up on her. He still wanted to marry her. She sighed, but it wasn’t as weary sounding as before. She looked up at Crux, his big comforting body around her. “Honestly, I’d marry you right now if I could. But I don’t want to take that away from mum too.” her brow furrowed a little. Things weren’t fixed, it didn’t bring back the pack, but it was just a little bit brighter with Crux beside her. “I want to start making decisions, but I’m not even sure what decisions I can make right now.” She really needed to talk to her mum. |
