Okay, so they'd been caught trying to skip out on the meeting. How important could it have really been? They would have just told the boys what was going on after the fact, it would have been fine. Really, Davey is sure of it. He's sure of everything, actually, including himself. To a fault. To his detriment. Whatever.

Why did ma have to be so annoying about this? The equivalent of being dragged to the meeting by an ear, the small woman nipping at his heels to drive him forward. Davey was less than pleased with it, but what was he to do? Though he gets to his feet in an attempt to go sit with his siblings, a stern look from Jael shuts that right down. Oh right.
