Emeralds and Sapphires

Her train of thought was interrupted when a soft voice suddenly grabbed her attention. Her bright green eyes found the gray pup a short distance from her and her gaze immediately turned curious. Jendai was sure she had never seen him before, but that wasn't saying much. She had yet to meet most of the wolves of her pack. "Hello!" she replied with a friendly tone to her voice. She guessed that she was at least a season older than him, but it was hard to tell sometimes since she was smaller than most pups her age.

She padded forward, closing some of the distance between them. She stopped maybe a foot from him, plopping back down onto her haunches. She had been wishing for something interesting and here something was! She leaned forward and sniffed him curiously. "Huh... you don't smell like my pack. Does that mean you're not from here?" She gave a small gasp of excitement at the realization, her tail wagging excitedly behind her. "Where are you from? Do you live out there? What's it like?" She watched him curiously, her eyes glittering with wonder. She had never met a rogue before and she wondered how much he could tell her about the world outside of Seracia.
