When she came to him a flurry of emotions shifted across her beautiful face, but eventually she settled on enraged. He knew he had it coming, but he forgot just how amazing her anger was and how the fury made her look impassioned. Dempsey's eyes roved over her, and not in a just friends sort of manner either. When she spoke her words blurred for him, as he was taking her in, but each accusation stung deep. He had not known that the pups would leave with him. He looked away then, ashamed. Suddenly there was silence, except for the loud panting from her rant. He brought his eyes back up to her then. "I didn't mean..." Dempsey had no idea what to say."I had no intention of..." There was nothing appropriate really."Damn it...." He whispered the curse under his breathe before capturing her eyes with his. "Alena...you made me feel. I haven't felt anything but lust and loneliness in a very long time. You made me love. When someone hurt you I felt anger. When I considered losing you I felt pain. And Alena..."He shook out his head,"I was scared. All of that scared me." He hated to admit it but he had to give her a reason, even an inadequate one. "I came back because I knew I couldn't live without you, but for all the hurt I caused you I probably shouldn't have. I am not worthy to call you mine, and i don't know if I could live if you're not." Dempsey came towards her, the lack of contact killing him. He kissed her cheek and brushed up against her. "I'm so sorry love." The brute knew he wasn't strong enough to just walk away. Speech, |
