Silent |
Through the storm that was raging in her head and heart, Loccian's words reached the inner eye of it all. Silent's beating core was beginning to slow down, unraveling from the high she had been as a result of the increase of adrenalin in her body. Loccian told her to be halfway honest with her children about Bronze's situation and that worrying them would probably not be the best idea. Her emerald green eyes closed tightly at the advice and slowly, Silent lowered her haunches to the ground. She was too old to be doing this stressful dance. Even though she was nine years old, Silent didn't let it bother her too much. She vaguely remembered the way her mother acted at nine years old, and a smile flickered across her ebony face. Split was definitely the wolf she wished to be, but some wishes weren't meant to come true... Immediately, the memory vanished and Silent's head rose to look at Loccian. The Ambassador had been the one who almost had Bronze's heart before she returned, so she knew that the news of his capture would still affect her. Silent pushed this thought out as well and with a heavy heart, softly spoke. "I will do my best to tell them, Loccian..." She sighed and looked down at her front black paws, wet from the tears that had spilled on the ground. "I have never had to tell any of my children something so heartbreaking...The first time Bronze and I ever fell apart, I only had to tell my young ones that their papa would be gone for awhile, but they could still see him whenever they wanted...It was so vague, and they didn't worry about him disappearing..." She looked back up to Loccian and gave a half-hearted smile. "I hope our current babies won't be too upset...especially my girls, they have the softest hearts of anyone I have ever met.." |
