Heartache

Silveris watched the older female, who seemed clearly shocked that a pup had ended up by her side, and for a minute, Silveris was unsure who was more shocked. The female seemed to be looking for her nonexistent parents, the ones who would have killed her and her two siblings what seemed so long ago, but was only a few months. Green and blue eyes locked onto the woman's face and stared into her gray eyes, before lowering her head once more, as a loud noise filled the silence. The starving pup's stomach was growling, and the mostly brown puppy felt the pain of the hunger ripping at her stomach, and whimpered softly to the air around her. Then, Silveris heard the woman's voice, and sat in patient silence until the woman was done speaking, as she had learned to done over time. Then, it was HER turn to be silent and sure as to what to say, as the woman asked her where her parents where.


Oh...........Um............My parents? I......I honestly don't have any clue where they are. They......Weren't very popular, so the pack......Probably killed them. I.......I didn't really care.......For them, anyway......They...............They left us........And we survived, somehow...... She had originally planned to be more silent that she said, but once the words were out, Silveris found that they kept coming, and finally she glanced at the woman with one blue eye, and let out what would be a bitter laugh if she wasn't so young.
