Paradise, Perhaps?

Quote:Hearing Gideon's obvious disagreement at entering the ocean, Chrysanthe felt that she had made the right choice. Seems there was still a bit of teasing left in her when it came to those she was truly close to, but the difference with Gideon was that he would tease back twice as hard. "There's time for that later." Her response would be simple, cheeky even, but surprisingly honest. It had been far too long since the two of them had been close - and despite the warm weather in her chosen territory, it was winter - her season of birth. In the rare moments where her thoughts weren't churning with stress and responsibility, they were plagued with Gideon. She had fallen for him, hard - but he had captured her attention with both his mind and body on the get go. Despite times changing, that hadn't changed along with it.
When they finally reached the shore, she would shake herself off - purposely flicking the water on her tail at her mate, before standing on the smooth sands with a small smile on her face. Looking at him drenched with water was enough to pull a small bit of laughter from her, which she would try to hide with a toothy grin. "Oh wow, that's a good look for you." The woman would tease, moving to brush past him and let their damp fur mesh a bit. It was nice, going from the cool of the water on her fur to the natural heat that his body gave off. Nice enough for her to place a kiss to her waterlogged husband's cheek for it. "I should get you in the water more often."
Turning her head slightly to face the island, she would take the looming vegetation as a challenge. She wanted to get a good feeling of this place, and scope the territory out completely before making her final decision. Of course, she had brought Gideon here with her because... well, she had to lay it on him, but she wanted to start on that family of theirs in the near future. This would be where it started - an island warm and inviting, perfect for the families that Valhalla would hold, and the family she wanted to start. "I hope you're ready to do a bit of exploring." She would do her best to reward him at the end if he was on his best behavior.
The both of them were already off to a pretty bad start.
