So their mother was gone... Where had she gone? The queen he vaguely remembered had left him and his siblings, why? Was she okay? Inside the den, he laid, curled up, his tail wrapped around him, resting on the tip of his nose. He was aware of his brother's presence in the mouth of the den, and he assumed his sister was either further in the set, or out. He hadn't bothered to look for her, she could take care of herself, and he didn't want to tell her what they had learned about their mother. Flashes of his father flying into his son flashed before his eyes, as he tried closing them, tried to concentrate on anything else but the events that had transpired the other day with his brother. A sigh left him as he heaved himself to his paws and moved forward, coming to sit beside his brother in the snow. Firey eyes stared up, looking at the white snow as it fell around them, and he turned to his brother, speaking with a sigh. Soft tones would inquire softly, "Are you okay, Vereux?" Speech, |
