And that was it. Forced into a lifetime in a pack he hated with a leader he hated more working in a field he knew nothing about. He bristled at the thought. True he knew some medicine, maybe he could slip by on the skin of his teeth with what he knew and endure. For now. The day would come when the brazen wolf would meet his comeuppance when he would pay for trampling over the meek. He glared as the arkhos turned his back on him. One day he would do so hesitantly he assured himself. One day. But not this day. Not yet.

He glanced over his shoulder and took one last long look at the surrounding woods and mountains before he walked into the cold dark cave, the siblings still fighting behind him for reasons he did not understand, and said goodbye to his freedom.
