Eye for an Eye?

Vereux winced a small bit from surprise, but did nothing else. Looking up at his father his green eyes blinked. Supposing he was right, maybe the boy was just thinking far too deeply for his own age. Trying to grow up far to fast, he nodded his head at these thoughts. Listening to what his father was telling him, and he was happy. "I understand father." He was not the only one who needed attention. The others needed it as well, and he should have been there to help them in the first place.
"I guess I just think too deeply." He laughed a little bit when he realized it. Vereux couldn't help but to wag his silly excuse for a tail back and forth as he felt the warmth of his father against him.
